Feelin' the Love in 2020!
Big hugs, great dance moves and even a love song dedication - that was the annual ACF Valentine's Day Dance for teens and adults with autism or other special needs on Friday, February 7th at the Southampton Rec Center!

We invited all our special friends ages 14+ to share their happiness and love, in an environment of kindness and understanding. Guests were treated to some delicious and festive snacks, as well as super awesome dance songs and cool decor. ACF holds these teen/adult dances about 4 times per year, so we can't wait to see you all at the next one! What's coming up next? The St. Patrick's Day Social on March 13th!

No Bones About It!
Billy Devlin and some of his ACF buddies decided to help out their four-legged friends this past January. Billy who has been a volunteer at a local animal shelter for a number of years, decided to collect and donate 100 blankets earlier this winter to keep the dogs warm. He and his friends decided to help make peanut butter bones for that same local shelter. Treating each dog to a bone, this group of young adults shared their kindness with their furry friends in a very impactful way!
It was a night out with GREAT FRIENDS!
It was a super special Night Out with Friends this year at Newtown Middle School on Friday, February 7th. This year marked the 4th annual event at the school, in which children with special needs are invited to join Newtown Middle Council Members and other students for a night of activities and games. This night serves as a resource, to promote inclusion and acceptance of those with special needs. Fun activities included scooters, basketball and jump rope, as well as cupcake decorating and face painting! ACF thanks the kind students and staff at Newtown Middle School for hosting this wonderful event!
Giving So Kind, it Doubled!
Thank you to Scott Brecker, an ACF Father, who made a recent contribution to Autism Cares Foundation, which was matched in full by his employer, Metrohm USA. Scott personally delivered the check to ACF and Jeannette Curtis, Office Manager. Scott said that ACF has done so much for his son, and that he wanted to give back. Many employers, like Scott's, participate in Matching Gifts Programs. Thank you to Scott Brecker, his family, and Metrohm USA for your generosity!
Too Much Fun @ Friends!
Our latest session of 21+ Friends Club ended on a very loving note on Thursday, February 6th at Autism Cares Foundation. This group of about a dozen adults with autism or other special needs, decided to celebrate their last week throwing a Valentine's Day party for each other, complete with food, music, games and the exchange of hand-made Valentine's!

21+ Friends Club is a group that meets several times each year, for 6-weeks each session. During these sessions, new friends are made, old friendships are renewed, and social skills are practiced. Each week is a casual meeting, where an activity is led by a group leader. Activities have included karaoke, crafts, bingo, themed parties and MORE!
Thank you for your interest, your continued support and all that you do to further the mission of Autism Cares Foundation.
