Dancing in our Red, White & Blue!
The Red, White & Blue Dance kicks off a season of fun social dances for teens and adults with autism and other special needs each year. This dance, held on Friday, September 6th at the Southampton Recreational Center Gymnasium celebrated a lot of things. The end of summer, the beginning of school, reconnecting with ACF friends and making new ones!

Volunteers and ACF Staff Members decorated in our special colors, to create an exciting atmosphere. Dolan DJs kept us moving, and parents got to catch up with one another as their loved ones danced the night away and laughed with their buddies.

A whole line up of social dances are on the way! Next up...the Annual Halloween Dance! Be sure to register your teen or adult for the spooky and safe Halloween fun. Our social dances are for ages 14 and up, and we can't wait to see you there!
There's No Bull at Fit-N-Focus this Fall
Over the past 10 years, ACF has made it an important mission to keep a fitness program going for teens and adults with autism and other special needs. This year we started working with Karl and Nicole, our new trainers at No Bull Training, to create an atmosphere for our ACF participants to thrive in, both physically and mentally.

Fit-N-Focus will run in 6-week sessions throughout the year, and focuses on building strength, better health practices and social interaction for those ages 13+. The 1-hour class changes slightly each week, with new moves and obstacles to help participants get a good work out and build confidence!

The team at No Bull Training has welcomed us with open minds and hearts. With their help, our teens and young adults have been crushing it on Wednesday nights and are already asking about the next session!
Painting and Pals!
Our newest social opportunity for young adults with autism and other special needs is off to a great start this season, with a full group and familiar faces. 21+ Friends Club is another program that also runs in 6-week sessions, multiple times a year. Each session gives these young adults an inclusive and friendly place to come to each week, to socialize and have a good time with their peers.

Each week, our club facilitator Mollie Sheehy offers a new activity - some decided on by the participants themselves! This session has included karaoke, games like Jeopardy and Let's Make A Deal, painting and cooking. ACF participants have enjoyed learning each other's names, and common likes. Do you know someone over the age of 21 who could benefit from this offering? If so, please tell them all about us, we welcome new friends all the time!
Feeling the Joy, at Glee!
Glee Club has been growing steadily over the past few years, and we are proud to say that because of this, Glee has had to find two new homes over the past two years! ACF has secured a wonderful new space this year at Davisville Church, where participants can be comfortable and enjoy practice each week.

Practices have included song requests, solo singing and feel good music to run through our hearts and minds! These seasonal Glee sessions help those with autism and other special needs, ages 14+, express themselves through dancing and song, to help with focus and socialization in a welcoming atmosphere.

Mark your calendars for our Winter Concert on December 5th! We love when new spectators join us to experience a Glee Concert, come see what it's all about! Details to follow soon..
