Congratulations HSF Finalists!

Please join us in celebrating Angelo, Mark, and Destiny, who have been selected as finalists for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund Program.

Anyelo is a College Student Leader in MTB, and Destiny and Mark are Bonner Leaders from Montclair State University, working as interns with MTB for the year.

We are proud to see these impressive young people continuing their educational journeys at Montclair State University and Stevens Institute of Technology. Their hard work, leadership, and commitment to their education are creating pathways for other first-generation students to follow.



Congratulations and good luck to Anyelo, Mark, and Destiny on completing the second stage of the process! This is a big accomplishment, and we are proud of the effort and determination you have shown so far.

February MTB Full Group Meeting

At our February Full Group Meeting, senior students shared their findings on different financial aspects of the college application and attendance process with our junior students.

With this, students were able to fully understand the net cost of college, ways to pay for college, and financial aid packages. Thus, they will be better prepared to navigate situations and relieve financial stress.

Application for Next High School Fellows

More Than Bootstraps is accepting new high school fellow applications!

This program is an amazing opportunity to learn more about higher education and develop useful life skills while getting paid to do it. Continue reading to find out more.

Reminder for Junior Student Parents

Current juniors will complete the FAFSA in Fall 2026. Their FAFSA will require your 2025 taxes. In addition, NJ financial aid requires one parent to file taxes in order for the student to be eligible for state financial aid.

Remember: we are here to help you understand the risks of filing the FAFSA. Now is the time to reach out with questions!

Junior students have been completing multiple writing exercises in order to remove any fear surrounding the college essay writing process.

Senior students have been exploring different financial tools in an effort to better understand the financial aspect of college and utilize their resources efficiently.
