Welcome to America's Top Dog Model ® 2020 Contest
"Fairy Tails"
Calling all top dogs and storytellers! You are invited to enter America's Top Dog Model 2020 Contest "Fairy Tails!" If you can imagine your dog as a star in a book of fairy tails, this contest is for you!
Fairy Tails can come true when you crack open your imagination and explore the world of "Once upon a time." Your fairy tail should consist of a 500 - 600 word original fairy tail that portrays your dog's life story or "retelling" of a classic fairy tale. If it is a reinventing of a story like Cinderella... "It's like Cinderella, but with a twist."
In addition, entrant must submit an original, "professional" quality photo of your dog that "portrays" the character that you created in your fairy tail.
America's Top Dog Model
2020 Contest starts on January 27 and ends April 30.
One cover dog and eleven finalists will have their winning photos and stories published in America's Top Dog Model's book of Fairy Tails, and win an array of paw-some prizes!

Meet Contest Sponsor Vasi Siedman
Vasi Siedman is an award-winning professional pet photographer. She is known in the Palm Beach area for Vasi Studio, where she captures amazing images. She is also the founder of
PetPIX Academy.
Many of Vasi's clients asked her how they could take better photos of their fur-babies using their phone. Vasi became inspired to create PetPix Academy and teach people how to use their phone to capture fantastic pictures. She also created an online Facebook group with a weekly Q&A for various tips and tricks. Additionally, she teaches how to edit photos and organize them in your phone.
Vasi was very excited to photograph Romeo for our new contest, and she offers these 5 tips for you:
- Create a vision board for the "photo shoot" of your pet.
- Purchase or create accessories and props. They should be the same style and color harmony.
- Locate the best place for your photo shoot. If you select a spot outdoors, the best time of the day to photograph is afternoon.
- If you choose to shoot indoors, take photos close to a large window and have your pet facing the window.
- Review the images and select your favorite ones to narrow down the choices. Then pick the "perfect" contest photo.
Vasi wishes good luck to everyone!
America's Top Dog Model ® winner and finalists will receive a Six-month subscription to PetPIX Academy online photography classes. Thank you Vasi Siedman for your generous prize offering and your fantastic tips!

Romeo Reports: Host a Mad Hatter Tea Party
If you have ever dreamed of visiting Alice in Wonderland, grab your hat and read on, to fetch all the de"tails for creating your very own Mad Hatter's tea party.
-
Guest List:
Make a guest list including your best furry friends and send out invitations a few weeks before the party. Create a paw-some invite on Canva and send via email. If your guests are the creative type, request in your invitation, dressing up as one of the characters at the Mad Hatter's tea party. You've got Alice, the Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat, White Rabbit, Queen of Hearts, Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee to choose from. Be sure to specify which character the host will portray, to avoid duplication, which in Romeo's case would be the Mad Hatter.
- Party Essentials: Tea cups, plates, tea pot, napkins, name card holder, serving plate for treats, and flowers. For Romeo's tea party, I selected this adorable royal coach place card holder that is available in our online store. Your guests will feel like they are in a fairy tale when see their seating assignments displayed. The napkins are from our 12-year anniversary collection featuring America's Top Dog Model winners. This tea set is one of my favorites and works well with America's Top Dog Model logo. Your tea setting does not have to match. Remember, we are all mad here!
- Menu: Develop a tail-wagging menu that consists of pup cakes, peanut butter cookies, and liverwurst canapés. Serve water in lieu of tea, which pups will welcome, after all the tasty treats.
- Party Games: Finally, plan a couple of fun party games to keep your mad hatters entertained! Conduct contests for best behavior - best sit, stay, and paw shake!
There are many occasions to host a Mad Hatter tea party: Birthday, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, or simply "just because." Children will also enjoy a Mad Hatter tea party. If you are interested in more party ideas, check out my book Diva Dogs: A Style Guide to Living the Fabulous Life.
