The MoonShot 2024 event, held at Canon Canada Headquarters in Brampton, inspired 150 Peel high school students to explore careers in space, technology, and entrepreneurship.
Sponsored by Canon and Launch Canada, MDA Space, and the Brampton Innovation District, the event featured highlights like "Canon Presents: From Cameras to the Cosmos!" and a keynote by Adam Trumpour on building Canada's largest amateur rocket competition.
Students took part in hands-on experiences, such as the Scale-Up Venture Simulation and the Engineering Rocket Design Challenge
With support from industry leaders, university rocketry teams, and community partners, the event highlighted Brampton's growing role as a hub for innovation and career opportunities in the space-tech sector.
