This month, we’re excited to spotlight AFOMA Marketplace, a marketplace without borders! You can discover global artisans' unique crafts, celebrate handmade artistry, embrace creativity as a seller or customer, and let passion and talent thrive!
After launching in 2021, AFOMA Marketplace participated in Altitude Accelerator Incubator 18 Program. Recently, they also received a $5,000 grant from the Starter Company Plus program through the Brampton Entrepreneur Centre.
On Sunday, September 15, join AFOMA Marketplace at the Peel Makers Craft Fair for a day of creativity and fun as they showcase the talents of local artisans from the Peel Region and Greater Toronto Area at Gore Meadows Community Centre in Brampton.

Tenomix, Brampton Venture Zone alumni, has recently been granted $500,000 by the Ontario Government. Tenomix develops novel technologies that targets inefficiencies in the pathology workflow, optimizes cancer care, and reduces healthcare costs.
Cosnim Cloud Technologies, Rogers CyberSecure Catalyst alumni, has recently been invested in by Mass Challenge. Cosnim provides a unified storage system for live files, backups, and archives across distributed locations, eliminating the need for complex databases and management systems.

The City of Brampton hosted a Guinness World Record Breaking event alongside Inclusive Momentum Inc., an organization that focuses on promoting inclusiveness with visually impaired individuals and assists them in regaining confidence.
The event was completed simultaneously with 300 participants in Hong Kong and 150 participants in Brampton to have the most number of people over two spaces to solve a Rubik’s cube blindfolded. The goal was to establish a new Guinness World Record within a one-hour timeframe, and they were successful!

Last month, Brampton Venture Zone hosted their fourth annual Brampton Venture Expo at the Rose Theatre, a standout event in the city’s tech calendar.
This year’s Expo was focused on Women in Health, and brought nearly 1,000 attendees, 12 main stage speakers, and 40 exhibitors showcasing the finest in local tech, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The BReady Talent Platform was another prime focus of the event! The BReady Talent Platform is a virtual marketplace that connects talent with employers hiring for tech and business roles in Brampton and Mississauga. Join 300+ talent and 100+ employers already benefiting from this platform.
