New Movie Studio Construction Breaks Ground In Forest Park

BlueStar Studios has announced plans for a 53-acre production campus in Forest Park. Several purpose-built stages will be made available in metro Atlanta starting Summer 2023. The campus is currently under construction, and development will continue in phases through 2024, with an expected total investment of $180 million.

Senator Raphael Warnock made a campaign stop at the City of Forest Park's Fall Festival. During his visit, Senator Warnock discussed a wide range of issues impacting Georgia families, including inflation, affordable housing, healthcare and education.

Bulldog Insurance Hosting Turkey Giveaway On Nov. 17

Bulldog Insurance will host its annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway on Thursday, Nov. 17, beginning at 10 a.m. The company will be distributing 250 turkeys from its office parking lotat 713 Forest Pkwy., Suite B, in Forest Park, along with other fixings to make it a full meal. Recreation & Leisure Services Department Wins Award For Best Program

The City of Forest Park's Recreation & Leisure Services Department received the Outstanding Program Award for its Ultimate Tailgate Experience event. The award was presented during the Georgia Recreation & Parks Association's (GRPA) annual District 4 Awards Banquet held in Carrollton, Ga. 


Each year, GRPA recognizes dynamic recreational programs and professionals who work hard to provide opportunities that strengthen families, develop youth and build safe communities. The organization supports recreation and park agencies throughout the state, while also encouraging healthy lifestyles for individuals of all ages.

Chief Clemons Completes International Professional Designation

Forest Park Fire and Emergency Services Chief Latosha Clemons was successfully awarded the professional designation of Chief EMS Officer. The designation program recognizes individuals who demonstrate their excellence in several measured components, including experience, education, professional development, contributions, association membership and technical competence.


The Commission on Professional Credentialing awards the designation only after an individual successfully meets all the organization’s stringent criteria. Achieving this designation signifies Chief Clemons career commitment to the fire and emergency services.
