Dear Readers,

October is finally here! Colder, darker, spookier. A great time to try a new mystery or thriller. I will take any excuse to stay home on these darker evenings and enjoy a few scary stories.

Simone St James has a great new book, A Box Full of Darkness. She writes incredible mysteries with a gothic twist, making her books especially perfect for getting into the Halloween spirit. Richard Osman also has a new mystery, We Chase Shadows, which I am currently reading and enjoying. If you have not read his books, now is a great time to start.

There’s plenty of spooky events happening this month. Doylestown will host a Spooktacular Costume Contest & Parade through town, and the Witch's Ride, a bike ride you must see!

Join us in the bookshop on October 15th at 7pm for our next event with Stage United. Sailcloth will be joining us for Music for Bookshops. We love bringing great music into the bookshop.
