The Erie County Stay Fit Dining Program will be running Mondays through Friday. Make sure7 to check out the menu on our website.
Seniors 60+ recommended donation of $3.50,
all others mandatory $7.50.
Monday 10/27- Turkey a la King, mashed potatoes, carrots, warm biscuit, chocolate pudding.
Tuesday 10/28- ENTREE SALAD- Beef taco salad w/taco sauce & tortilla strips, pineapple tidbits, chocolate milk.
Wednesday 10/29- Baked rigatoni w/Italian sausage, tomato sauce & mozzarella, California blend vegetables, fruit punch, chef salad w/dressing, dinner roll, fresh banana.
Thursday 10/30- Lower sodium baked ham w/pineapple sauce, scalloped potatoes, brussels sprouts, wheat dinner roll, chocolate brownie.
Friday10/31- HAPPY HALLOWEEN- Breaded chicken drumsticks, Duchess mashed potatoes, green beans, dinner roll, banana cream pie.

Erie County Department for the Aging’s University Express returns for the Fall Semester and brings with it a new selection of Wednesday Workshops for your to enjoy. All workshops begin at 1 PM unless otherwise noted. Sign up for lunch beforehand when you register for class at the front desk.
October 29—Rock on! Learn about stones & craft bracelet
Jennifer Chowdhury Noon-2 PM
Learn about stones and make your own bracelet. We will have semi-precious gemstones and know about the meaning of the stone, how it can help in healing, and make a fun bracelet to wear. It will help with hand and mind coordination, be therapeutic, bring creativity, and offer socializing while having fun.
November 5—Learn to play BUNCO

Let's get together, learn, and play BUNCO. Start a BUNCO game day at your Senior Center. It’s an easy and fun dice game.

November 12—Fall Detoxing
Sherry Lyn Hartel
Discusses detoxing and holistic practices, covering topics like types of detoxes and the importance of detoxing during specific times of the year, particularly the fall. (Class may run 90 minutes)
November 19—Qigong
Susanne Rosinski
Qigong is an ancient system of gentle movements that help the body, mind, and emotions. Qigong is the mother of Acupuncture, Kung Fu, and TaiChi! It’s simple for anyone to learn, and its benefits are far-ranging—from increasing energy to improving sleep and more!. (Please allow two hours for this class. Class size is limited.)
November 26—Make a Wish Birthday Card Class

We will make birthday cards for Make-A-Wish. Supplies will be provided, and you can learn about the R.S.V.P. (Retired Senior Volunteer Program).The cards made will be donated to Make-A-Wish.

Mindful Movement & Guided Meditation
Mondays 10AM- 11AM
You will be guided through some gentle, chair based movement focused on connecting the breath and the body. This will be followed by a short guided relaxation and finish the class by guiding you through a themed meditation. This practice can help ease anxiety and stress. Increase focus, positive feelings and improve overall mood. $3 for members, $5 for non-members.

Better Body Balance
Tuesdays 10 AM- 11 AM
"Better Body Balance" is a specially designed program aimed at seniors who are looking to improve their physical fitness, enhance their strength, and maintain better balance. It's ideal for beginners and is tailored to address the unique needs and concerns of older adults. $3 for members, $5 for non-members.

Move & Groove Dance Class
Wednesdays 10AM- 11AM
We warm up and then get moving to some fun medium tempo music from your favorite artists. We work on building strength using light weights as well as balance & coordination. All movements can be done seated in a chair or standing. Every class ends with a cool down, stretches and a smile. FREE.

Chair Yoga Thursday
Thursdays 10 AM- 11 AM
Guide you through this gentle chair yoga class that includes simple breath work, seated poses, standing poses using the chair for support and a guided relaxation at the end. This class is beginner friendly. You will leave the class feeling refreshed, relaxed and happy! $3 for members, $5 for non-members.

Shake your groove thing in this accessible fitness class. We will warm-up and get moving to some great music from all different decades. Routines are simple, easy to follow and lots of fun! The Gym @ Tosh Collins has started a walking club for seniors Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. If you need to warm up before our daily exercise class, walk around the gym for 30 minutes. Free.

Due to popular demand, another exciting card game is coming to Tosh Collins! Join us for nickels (otherwise known as Nickel Nickel) on Monday afternoons. For those
unfamiliar with the game, Nickels is similar to Rummy, with the twist of betting nickels. So bring in your nickel collection and come join us for another thrilling card games experience!

Join us for Texas Hold Em’ Poker - Beginners are welcome. We will be using nickels to gamble with so don’t forget to bring in your nickels or bring in a couple dollars and we can give you change. The format is Sit & Go so participants can join and leave when needed. Max bet for a hand is 25 cents and we will be playing with one blind which will stay at 1 nickel. No need to RSVP!

The Silver Pride Senior Social is all about creating better conversations & improving social engagement with older members of the LGBTQ+ community. By understanding people’s experiences, we can facilitate greater social connectivity & improve social inclusion.
