Greetings!
In keeping with our Walks, Hikes and Adventure email series that we started in the Fall, I wanted to share another fun place we discovered: Salt Creek Fruit Cherry Farm.
Last year as a safe escape from the being stuck in the house due to pandemic, my family and I explored the farms north of Corvallis. On a weekend trip back from Tillamook, we decided to stop at Salt Creek Fruit for U-pick cherries. Goodness, what a delight! They harvest delicious Lapin cherries right off the tree. (We picked over 150 lbs of cherries that day!)
If you've never u-picked cherries before, I'd recommend it! The farm offers ladders, boxes, and pre-picked cherries (if you'd prefer to buy instead of u-pick). The stand is currently open and might make a wonderful weekend adventure for you and friends or family.
Why we send these emails: For those who are new to our email list, I wanted to take a moment to share why we send emails like this one.
A primary goal of the goal of the clinic is to support healing through natural health methods. Acupuncture, massage, mindfulness and exercises are four pillars that have consistently delivered positive results in support of the body's natural healing process.
Among the four methods, exercise is one of the best ways to improve health and fitness, but it is also one of the hardest to stay motivated to do regularly. It is our hope that these Walks, Hikes and Adventure messages will help motivate you to get outside, enjoy a healthy dose of sunshine and clean air, and burn a few calories along the way.
We look forward to sharing more fun adventure ideas from around the Valley and PNW! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out and ask.
Wishing everyone a wonderful Summer,
Nathan
P/S: I think cherry season might be closing soon. If you're interested in exploring Salt Creek Fruit, click the link below for details about their summer hours. If you go outside, make sure you take enough water, sunscreen (SPF 50+), and a hat. Heat exhaustion comes easy this year with high temps and low outside time due to pandemic. Have fun, but be prepared if you venture out!
