A quaint and ethnically diverse community that offers full amenities of in-town living

On December 2, 2022, the City of East Point hosted its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony with live performances and a visit from Santa!

The City of East Point is a quaint and ethnically diverse urban community of approximately 38,000 residents that offers a small-town feel with easy access to all of the amenities of a big city. Residents, businesses, and visitors all enjoy the light traffic, easy access to the airport, highways, and MARTA, a wide variety of shopping and restaurant options, multiple recreational amenities, and the desirable charm of its many unique neighborhoods.

Parks and Recreational Amenities 

East Point including a new outdoor workout facility coming to John D. Milner Sports Park, multiple international-quality soccer/multi-purpose sporting fields (Georgia Sports Park), hiking in nature parks featuring one of the largest specimen trees in the State (Connally Nature Park) and the completion of the first Model Mile of over 26 miles of multi-use trails connecting the City's neighborhoods to parks and commercial districts.

Cycling Lovers Dream

East Point offers cyclists three different options: (1) The City has one of the few mountain biking trails inside the perimeter of Atlanta (Sykes Park Ride & Fly Trail) (2) It is home to the State's only olympic-style banked cycling venue (Dick Lane Velodrome) which hosts events all year long and attracts professional cyclists from all over the world and (3) One of the most desirable road cycling options, Hwy 29/Main Street, runs right thru the heart of the City.

Diverse Housing Options

East Point has a large variety of housing options boasting beautiful, tree lined streets with renovated homes full of historic character, lofts/apartments in walkable districts, large ½ acre + yards with mid-century modern brick ranch homes, as well as, new, more modern built infill and residential communities. There is something for everyone!
