UN SG CLIMATE ACTION SUMMIT SPECIAL EDITION
Re-Energized Global Climate Action Portal Features Country Pages
The Global Climate Action Portal, formerly known as NAZCA, relaunched today with a new interactive map and country profile pages.

The new country pages display climate action commitments made by non-Party stakeholders, alongside links to those made by national governments. The portal debuts its relaunch a week prior to the UN SG Climate Action Summit 2019 in New York and will be the primary vehicle for capturing both country and non-Party stakeholder climate commitments, as well as new initiatives announced at the Summit.
Discussing Climate Action Progress since 2014 at “Summit to Summit: Reflections of pre-2020 action” event
As part of the official 2019 UN Climate Action Summit pre-events, the High-Level Champions, Mr. Tomasz Chruszczow (Poland) and Mr. Gonzalo Muñoz (Chile) will host the Marrakech Partnership special event, “Summit to Summit: Reflections of pre-2020 action,” on Saturday, 21 September in New York.

The event will have the participation of UNFCCC Executive Secretary, Ms. Patricia Espinosa, COP20 President, Mr. Manuel Pulgar Vidal; former UNFCCC Executive Secretary, Ms. Christiana Figueres; as well as heads of the MP coalitions and initiatives such as Ms. Rachel Kyte; CEO of SEforAll; Ms. Lise Kingo, Executive Director of UN Global Compact; Mr. Nigel Topping, CEO of WMB; Ms. Stephanie Pfeiffer, CEO of IIGCC; Mr. Paul Polman, Chair of ICC; Ms. Sharan Burrow, General Secretary of ITUC; Mr. Dominic Waughray, WEF, among others.
