ON THEIR PERSON ( NOT ON YOUR RANGE BAG, NOT HANGING ON THE REARVIEW MIRROR OF YOUR VEHICLE, OR ANYWHERE ELSE ) AT ALL TIMES WHILE ON PHA PROPERTY.

If anyone asks about your badge, do not take it personally.

Just show your badge and thank them for asking.

Due to the COVID-19 virus and in

the interest of your safety,

we expect this situation to now

last at least until May 8.

PLEASE NOTE TEMPORARY SCHEDULE CHANGE FOR THE MAY 7 RANGE REPORT.

The next Range Report that is scheduled for Thursday, May 7, will NOT be issued until Friday, May 8, it will not be issued at its normal early morning time on Friday. The reason for this is Governor Roy Cooper will be making statements on that day as to what the next steps will be regarding the Covid-19 virus. The PHA Board of Directors will listen to what he says and then determine what can be done about resuming our match and activities schedule. As soon as decision(s) are made, the Range Report will be updated and sent out immediately on

Friday, May 8.

ALL MATCHES AND SCHEDULED PHA ACTIVITIES ARE CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

We expect this to last at least until May 8.

Any changes will be announced

in the Range Report.

NOTE : During this time, PHA members are NOT to bring any guests or visitors into the PHA Range.

PHA members are only allowed to bring in anyone from their immediate family.

This is being done in the interest of the welfare of the general membership and to follow the sanctions imposed by North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper.

When it is time to resume normal activities, it will be published here in the Range Report.

This is a decision made by the PHA Board of Directors.

Everyone please take the necessary precautions, set forth by our government, very seriously

and do your part to help stop this pandemic.

More Information

The Range will not be closed. It will remain open during this time period. Please exercise proper main gate etiquette during this time as you come and go. Please do not congregate in groups of 10 or more while at the Range.

As things change, they will be announced here in the Range Report. We are merely following the sanctions given by Governor Roy Cooper for the state of North Carolina. When these sanctions are lifted, we anticipate resuming our normal schedule. We will issue a Special Range Report immediately to let you know.

On Monday, April 27, 2020, 65 PHA members were notified by email that their names were drawn by the PHA Range II Board of Directors and won the right to purchase a share of PHA Range II stock. The 24 names not drawn were placed on a Provisional List in case one or more of the drawn names should withdraw. Information in a separate email was provided to the 65 members as to where and when they may pick up their stock certificates.

Congratulations to the 65 new members of PHA Range II.

WANTED- OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS FOR PHA

The PHA Club Nominations Committee, headed by Nancy Mueller, is now looking for nominees for the next Board of Directors. All positions on the Board are open. Nominations will be accepted from now until the close of the General Meeting on Thursday, May 14.

The positions available are:

President

Vice President

Recording Secretary

Treasurer

Range Officer

Membership Secretary

Directors (5 positions available)

Who can be nominated?

A nominee must have been a member of PHA for 3 years. An officer must be a current member of NRA. Directors do not have to be a member of NRA.

Expectations...

include attendance and participation at General Meetings, Board meetings, Work Days, Open House, new member walkthroughs, and other Range projects.

If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else (with their permission), please send an email to any one of the following members of the Nominating Committee. Just click on any of the Committee members below and let them know.

All firearms must be kept unloaded (except when on the firing line) and muzzles pointed in a safe direction.

The Range Report is now on Facebook. The intent is to put Range information on Facebook that needs to get out fast (Match cancellations, last-minute changes, quick announcements, etc.). This will not be a forum to discuss politics and religion. Please be kind and courteous. The weekly Range Report will still be issued every Thursday morning as usual.
