Directors at Large
You may choose 5 of the 6 nominees.

These candidates were asked two questions to help you get to know them a little better:

1. What have you done for PHA this past year?
2. What do you plan to do for PHA next year?
Wendell Bowling :
1. This past year I participated in all range clean-up activities and completed NRA RSO training and obtained my NRA Certification. I completed this training and certification to be able to perform duties as a High-Power Match director if called upon to do so.
2. This year I intend to continue to support PHA activities in recruiting RESPONSIBLE new members, to be engaged in High-Power Match competitions, help to improve the range property, operations, and the public image of PHA. I was introduced to shooting sports at about the age of 10, shooting .22 rifles at tiny targets off my grandmother's back porch!
After growing a bit, I joined the United States Air Force and was introduced to the AR-15 during basic familiarization training. Being stationed in Idaho with not much to do, all my free time was spent in the great outdoors practicing and learning shooting skills.
Upon separation from the USAF I moved to North Carolina to work with RJ Reynolds. My time with the shooting sports went on hold for many years except for a brief exposure to NRA High-Power competition in the late 80’s. I was so happy to rejoin the High-Power community several years ago with PHA. I especially enjoy coaching shooters that are new to the sport.
After 39 years of service and at the end of May 2020, I will be retiring from RJR as a Master Engineering Technologist. I will always be grateful for the opportunities and livelihood my time with RJR provided me and am looking forward to refocusing my talents to other ventures.
Talents I can bring to PHA:
-Excellent construction, mechanical, electromechanical and electronic skills.
-Highly proficient in computers, computer networking, electronic security, and automation systems.
-Most importantly, a desire to always expand my capabilities because I know my limitations!
Scott Dowd
1. Worked with board members on range tasks, participated in all clean up days and assisted with New Membership applications/needs.
2. Continue our current project planning and execution while providing a safe and fun atmosphere for our members and friends.
Kevin Huff :
1. Attended monthly meetings, participated in Clean-Up days, worked in Open-House days, became Certified Range Safety Officer, brought guests which led to two new memberships, became a stock owner.
2. Continue attending monthly meetings, participating in Clean-Up days and Open-House, run weekend matches, help and volunteer any other way I can, and do my part to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment at the range. Born in 1970, raised in Kernersville, now live in Lexington.
Have been a recreational shooter and fisherman my entire life. Want to do my part to help preserve a place for others to enjoy in a safe way
Dick Jones :
1. Got quotes, approval, and did oversight of the retaining walls behind the Ram building, clearing of the area in front of the Ram building, and creek crossing project on the 100-yard range.
2. Getting a well, nighttime lighting, and bathrooms at Ram building. http://wer offtheporch.com  and  http:// lewiscreekshooting.com
Richard Moore

Made and donated 180 guest ID badges for club members' guests to use while on the range. Donated a portable public address system to be used at meetings and other events.
2. Continue working to support the club in any capacity needed, bringing a fresh set of eyes and insights, and help the organization continue to grow and prosper. I will do whatever I can to keep the organization successful and to further the shooting sports.
Now into my 6th year as Senior Pastor at Pilgrim Reformed Church in Lexington, I am active in our community as a member of the Davidson Coalition Against Violence (the local implementation of Project Safe Neighborhood), the Davidson County Senior Chorus, and the Lexington Choral Society. My church is also active in our community through our various outreach programs, including our annual Run for Grace 5K benefiting the Davidson Workshop. I have been shooting since I was six years old, am a life member (Benefactor level) of the NRA and enjoy helping others come to love the shooting sports as well. To that end I am certified by the NRA as a pistol and rifle instructor and as a Chief Range Safety Officer. I have also been certified by the state of North Carolina as a Concealed Carry Handgun instructor. Unfortunately, time simply has not permitted me to do much training these past few years. I feel that PHA is the best thing going, and I am incredibly happy to be a member. I would be humbled yet honored to be able to represent the membership on the Board for the coming year.
Fred Sink :
1. Served on Board, shotgun committee, helped with Open-House and walk-throughs.
2. As much as time and health will permit. Will work with others as needed.
Original member and landowner. Served as club secretary, Board member, six different building projects, and served on shotgun committee and picked up and delivered clay targets for club. Cooked for Open House.
