Buffalo Match

Although deer season has just opened, we had seven hearty buffalo shooters for the November 17 match. It was a bit chilly and a little windy, but the scores did not show any problems.

Two classes were uncontested, but the other two were very competitive. We sure miss some of the shooters who used to attend but we do promise them a warm welcome should they return.

We were also thankful for the free hot dogs and drinks that were provided by those 'skeeters. They are really nice fellers up there.

Next match is December 15. The final match for 2019 is December 29.

PHA Military Veterans
Enduring Gratitude

Every year the Beaver Pond Sporting Club in Snow Camp NC hosts an event for veterans and active military members.

The vets participate in a day of sporting clays and pheasant tower shotgun shooting. A meal of BBQ, chicken and other sides are included in the lunch. You will get a sore shoulder and a great meal. Last year, about 150 veterans enjoyed the day at no cost to them.

If you wish to attend, you must pre-register at enduringgratitude.org and tag 2020 Veterans Registration.

An event like this requires a lot of volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, go to the same web site and tag 2020 Volunteers.

This event will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020.
