Bridge Update
The rainstorm last week has washed out the temporary bridge at the 100-yard range. There is no access to the 100-yard berm at this time. The 25- and 50-yard berms are available. And you may use the 100-yard berm at the 200-yard range.

Andy Miller, The Director of the Davidson County Soil and Water Conservation District, came out to review our bridge problem. We expect to receive a written assessment from him next week as to what solutions are available to us.

We apologize for this inconvenience.

REMINDER
ATTENTION TO ALL PHA MEMBERS!

ALL PHA MEMBERS MUST WEAR THEIR PHA ID BADGES
ON THEIR PERSON (NOT ON YOUR RANGE BAG, NOT HANGING ON THE REARVIEW MIRROR OF YOUR VEHICLE, OR ANYWHERE ELSE) AT ALL TIMES WHILE ON PHA PROPERTY.

NO EXCEPTIONS.

If anyone asks about your badge, do not take it personally.
Just show your badge and thank them for asking.

PHA Board of Directors.
ATTENTION ALL PHA MEMBERS!
Governor Cooper's Phase 3 does
not change anything for PHA.

All PHA matches will continue their normal schedule. However, we still must still follow a few NC restrictions while shooting matches.

They are:

  • While shooting outdoors, no more than 50 people will be allowed to participate in ANY PHA match.
  • Everyone shooting the match must maintain the 6-foot separation.
  • All match shooters, match directors, and RSO's must wear protective masks.
  • No food can be provided at any match.

If these requirements cannot be complied with at any match, then the match must be canceled. These requirements will remain in place until the NC Governor relaxes them again. And we'll report those changes in the Range Report.

Also, the guest restriction has been removed. Please follow the normal limitation, 2 per member, for guests you bring PHA Range.

TEAM MATCH RESULTS

21 NOVEMBER 2020

It was a great day for our match. The weather couldn’t have been better. There were 12 shooters on the range so we had 6 teams for the match. Two Catawba Valley R & P club members showed up and shot as a
team. Randy Randolph was one of the members and he is setting up their HP matches on the first Saturday of the month for next year. There is not a match every month, so you will need to check with him or their club site for more info. Randy’s contact email is: [email protected]

Top team was Broadside composed of Travis Rushing and Jeff Minder with a total score of 565-20x. This was Jeff’s first HP match, but has shot small bore in the past. He seemed to take to it pretty well.

Second high score was Brown Cow with Devon Cole and Wendell Bowling with a score of 537-4x.

Third place went to Wingnuts - Wayne Hemphill and Chris Rothrock with a score of 530-3x.

We will try to have some more fun matches during the winter prior to starting the NRA matches in April. If you have any suggestions as to the type of matches you would like to shoot, email Wayne and me. Everyone seemed to enjoy the vintage matches so we will definitely have a vintage match or two after the first of the year. We’ll try to incorporate some team stuff or possibly some 100 and 200 yd stages in the matches.

Thanks to the guys on Sat for coming and setting up and then putting the gear away, as well as to all the competitors who have participated this year and done the work to make the matches go so easy.
