Thursday .22 Bench Rest
Match Results
I would like to thank everyone that came out this year to shoot and support our bench rest matches, especially those who came out early each time to set up the range.
Due to the virus, we lost six matches this year but we still were able to have a successful year. We had an average of 9 shooters at each of our matches, 13 different shooters, and 4 new shooters. We saw 10 shooters score high enough to get into the 250 club. I compared scores from June to October and saw improvement in everyone scores. Especially in the open-site class.
The open-site class and the factory class are our most competitive classes. A factory class rifle is an "off the shelf" rifle with a 12X scope.
After our regular match, we held a "fun" match where I passed out old CMP Remington White box ammunition to everyone. As you know, 22's are very sensitive to different ammunitions. It took a
while for everyone to get their guns sited-in close. Scores were at least 10 points lower than usual. It was a challenge but I think everybody enjoyed it.
