Manchester Community Action Coalition (MCAC) is a BIPOC-led nonprofit organization formed in 2020 that provides a safe space for the marginalized (Black, Brown, Indigenous, Immigrant, POC, Disability, LGBTQIA+) community in Manchester to discuss, share, and discover needs within the community.
We are a shared space for effective collaboration, networking, and collective support that allows us to learn, develop and co-create racial, ethnic and social justice solutions for our communities.
We would like to spotlight our new economic justice initiative; BIPOC Childcare Learning Cohort. MCAC, in partnership with the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, is creating a pipeline of learning to support to expand the availability of high-quality, accessible culturally appropriate child care in Manchester.

Share with your communities with older adults
NCOA will award approximately 250 grants for 6-, 12-, or 15-month projects. Grant awards will support a larger national vaccination program, funded under the U.S. Administration for Community Living COVID-19 and Influenza Vaccine Uptake Initiative for Older Adults and People with Disabilities Notice of Funding Opportunity (HHS-2023-ACL-AOA-HDRC-0043), under which NCOA was funded. This funding opportunity has a main goal to increase the number of older adults and people with disabilities receiving COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations. For more information click here. A Narrative Change Workshop for Community Organizers and Social Justice Activists will help equity architects, movement leaders, community organizers, and artist-activists working toward transformative justice with the skills and strategies to effectively communicate their message and create transformative change. The workshop explores the role that narratives play in shaping public opinion, reinforcing power structures, and perpetuating inequality and provides tools and techniques for developing a narrative that is inclusive, empowering, and effective in creating change.
The twelve-session workshop will be interactive, with a mix of group discussions, exercises, and case studies to help participants understand and apply the concepts and techniques presented. We will cover topics such as message development, framing, and persuasive communication and provides hands-on training in the creation and dissemination of narratives that challenge the status quo and support the goals of social justice activism. The objective of the workshop is to equip community organizers and social justice activists with the skills they need to effectively communicate their message, mobilize public support, and create lasting change in their communities and the world.

VNA Foundation Grants (Illinois)

Overview: VNA Foundation awards grants to support home– and community-based healthcare and health services for the medically underserved in Cook, Lake, McHenry, DuPage, Kane, and Will counties — with a focus on Chicago.
The foundation provides program, operating, and capital grants that range between $15,000 and $80,000 in support of home healthcare services, community and school-based services, primary care and chronic disease management, and health promotion. Priority consideration will be given to programs in which nurses provide care.
