Then join the Greater Easley Chamber and other chambers in our tri-county area (Anderson Area, Clemson Area, Liberty Area, Greater Pickens, and Oconee County) to meet with representatives from the Upstate Chamber Coalition (UCC) to share your input in their forum, UCC Listening Tour. Input from the UCC Listening Tour will be used to create the 2023 Legislative Agenda. The UCC Listeting tour is a free forum and registration is requested. Register with the button below.

The Administrator implements and manages the directives of the County Council in the most effective management practices, strategic planning, coordination of resources, internal controls, and transparency in government by county departments in all aspects of public service delivery and day-to-day operations of local government. To hear all that is going on, attend the event.

Best of the Upstate for Best Audiologist was recently announced and it was none other than Dr. Tarvin. Dr. Tarvin is the founder of Elevate Audiology, a private practice in Easley. Dr. Tarvin is a highly trained audiologist focused on patients with expertise in evaluating and treating hearing disorders, fitting hearing aids, and advising on tinnitus management. She has also established herself as one of the top audiologists in the nation and has presented at multiple state and national level conferences. | |
Joe's Ice Cream Parlor to Celebrate 50 Years of Service | |

On July 30, 1972, Mom and Dad took a leap of faith and brought the Easley Ice Cream Parlor, now known to many as Joe's. To honor their hard work and dedication, a concert dedicated to worship will occur on October 9 (Dad's birthday) at 6:00 PM at Old Market Square in Easley. All are invited to bring a picnic and worship together to share their faith in Jesus.

Spa Renew Fundraised for the Non-Profit, Service Dogs for Veterans | |

On July 30, Spa Renew shared the success of its business by hosting a mini-spa day event to benefit the non-profit: Service Dogs for Veterans. They additionally created the Easley Encounters Passports with discounts for local businesses and sold baked goods. With great effort, Spa Renew raised a total of $1,852.25 for the non-profit organization that has a mission to “complement traditional treatment for Veterans with PTSD, TBI, and MST, by training the Veteran and their dog to become a highly effective ADA Complaint Service Dog Team.

Pickens County GIS Department Receives International Award
The Pickens County GIS Mapping Department recently received an award at the ESRI (Environmental Systems Research Institute) International User Conference - Map Gallery Competition for third place out of 56 entries from around the world in the Analytic Methods and Results category. The ESRI International User Conference is the premier convention for GIS professionals with nearly 90,000 annual attendees online or in person.

Anderson County Opened Eight New Pickleball Courts
On August 5, Anderson County opened eight new pickleball Courts at Hurricane Springs Park. Pickleball is a racket sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Players use paddles to hit a perforated plastic ball, similar to a wiffleball, over a net. Pickleball is easy to learn and people of all ages can play. Residents are invited to come out and play on the new courts.
