Alumni Spotlight
Donunshae Sanders is a proud 2016 graduate of Millersville University who holds a bachelor’s degree in speech communication with a minor in print media studies. She says choosing the major came naturally to her. “I’m a social butterfly and honestly, after growing up in a household with three sisters, you learn very quickly how important communication is,” she said. “My passion for communication really comes from my excitement for understanding and gaining knowledge from [other people and perspectives].” That natural curiosity comes in handy in her role as a Communication Specialist for Johnson & Johnson in Lititz, Pennsylvania.

Fiat Lux Society Celebration Honors
Transformational Donors
The extraordinary contributions of donors of transformational gifts to Millersville University were recognized at a special induction ceremony of the recently formed Fiat Lux Society earlier this month. As a giving society that honors donors of gifts and pledges of $1 million or more, the society name is inspired by the Latin phrase “Fiat Lux,” which is translated as “let there be light,” and by the historic stained glass window featuring that phrase in Biemesderfer Executive Center on the campus of Millersville University. The exceptional generosity of Fiat Lux Society members creates an enduring legacy that will benefit students for years to come and nurtures the success of Millersville University for generations.
