 Meditation is a self-care practice that allows us to quiet our minds, calm our physical bodies, and go within to reach a heightened level of awareness. This three-part class looks at the art, the history, the science, and the magic of meditation from three unique perspectives with three instructors. Join Rev. Diana, Rev. Story, and Rev. Renee as they lead you on a journey towards discovering the benefits and joys of meditation for yourself.

All you ever wanted to know about practicing legally, ethically, & correctly in your Psychic & Healing Work. Diana Friedell, Director at ISD, & JoAnn Wormuth, Healing Program Director, review good practice & required protocol for giving messages from Spirit within ISD and in NY State. Free & Required for Intuitive & Healing Practitioner students.

As spiritual beings how do we receive our psychic information? In what ways are we receiving messages, reading energy, and experiencing those things around us that we cannot physically hear, see, or touch?

And as human beings, how do we interact and understand those around us in the physical world? How do we begin to learn what we are receiving intuitively and what is the ‘junk’ that we have picked up from others?

This two-session class, led by Rev. Renee Ranke, will help us to understand how we are receiving our telepathic messages and in what ways we can 'energize' our psychic sensitivity.

Through fun games & exercises, develop confidence and clarity in your intuitive answers, both for yourself, and for others.

Kimberly Winsor, RPP, LMT, teaches us the ins and outs, the do’s and don'ts of muscle testing- a technique used much like dowsing, using one's own body to cipher out truth for any given situation. Answers come in a yes/no format, so attention is paid to learning how to ask questions, with lots of fun practice. Attend on Zoom, or in person at the new Lotus Center.

The Brain-is wider than the Sky-

For-put them side by side-

The one the other will contain

With ease- and You-beside-

The Brain is deeper than the sea-

For-hold them- Blue to Blue-

The one the other will absorb-

As sponges-Buckets-do-

The Brain is just the weight of God-

For-Heft them-Pound for Pound-

And they will differ- if they do-

As syllable from Sound-

This week features several days of Trines forming between the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto.

Because the planets are still congregated in a bowl formation on the Eastern Hemisphere, there are days when the same aspect will be forming multiple times in quick succession. Lucky for us, it is Trines that are on the way. The bowl formation allows us to profit from our experiences. Trines are considered the most harmonious aspect, characterized by ease and luck. Now, match this up with the Sun and Venus in Earth sign Capricorn, and you have helpful energies available during a time of year when we settle in and try hard for self-examination and improvement.

TRINES:

Jan 12 - Sun/Moon (overall harmonious balance) , Moon/Venus (beauty, the Arts), and Moon/Pluto (personal power, emotional control, courage)

Jan14 - Moon/Mercury (good sense, communications) Moon/Saturn (organization, responsibility, dignity)

Jan 15 - Moon/Jupiter (expansive imagination, devotion)

Jan 17 - Moon/Neptune (psychic ability) THIS ASPECT IS COMBINED WITH THE FULL MOON IN LATE CANCER

The Full Moon is on the cusp of Cancer/Leo on Sunday Jan 17th. Leo's shine will be tempered by Capricorn's precision. Cancer will remind us to remember to keep self, home, and family in our thoughts. With all the Trines leading up to this you have a stronger than usual opportunity to create from the best attributes of all these Planets. It seems as if we have a great partner at the beginning of this year's endeavors.

Mercury has moved into the early degrees of Aquarius. It starts the first of 4 retrogrades this year on Jan 14th. It starts in Aquarius and returns to Capricorn for a while. This will be one of the cautions around an otherwise harmonious time. The best use of this time will be to carefully recheck, rethink, reconfigure all aspects of your decisions. It does not have to be a bad aspect. We can think of it as a time to employ precision and patience!

One last significant sky event is the end of the Uranus retrograde on Jan 18th. It is a planet of rebellion that tends to shake up the status quo. It insists you pay attention, and if you don't, it will force the issue somehow. Now the energies will soften and allow the needed changes to be implemented in a gentler way. We have until August before it's next retrograde. That time can be productive to push forward with the creations you most want to bring forth.
