Farewell to Kendra Lellis

Kendra Lellis has been the Development Director at Southern Oregon Friends of Hospice the last 14 months, leading crucial fundraising efforts for Celia's House.

Kendra's expertise and heart for hospice has influenced the organization greatly, and she expresses her sincere gratitude for this experience:

"While farewells are never easy, I take comfort in knowing that the connections we have created with heart and soul remain strong. I am filled with gratitude for all that I have learned and the ways I have grown while compassionately serving individuals and families with you. This sacred work has taught me that death can be an invitation to peace, that intention fosters compassion, that love is presence, and that we are vessels for a greater purpose. I believe our impact extends far beyond what we can imagine. And it has been my privilege to hold this space and support the mission with you."

We wish her all the best in her new venture at Britt Music & Arts Festivals. In regard to fundraising or donations, please contact Dwight Wilson dwightwilson@sofriendsofhospice.org

HUB Couture: Where Fashion Gives Back

What a great time we had at HUB Couture! Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, and modeled—the energy in the boutique was truly something special.

The HUB transformed into a vibrant runway, with volunteers, staff, and shoppers bringing joy and playfulness that made the afternoon unforgettable.

Events like this show what makes The HUB unique—it’s not just a place to shop, but a place to connect, celebrate, and be part of something meaningful. We’re so grateful to everyone who made it a success.

National Volunteer Appreciation Week

This week is National Volunteer Appreciation Week. We couldn't let it pass without expressing a simple yet heartfelt truth: Celia's House and The HUB wouldn't be what they are without our 165 volunteers.

Volunteers at Celia's House contribute significantly to the welcoming feel of the house and to the comfort of resident care —from greeting families at the front door, to tending the garden, to offering music, massage, and pet therapy to residents. Some of our 100 volunteers have dedicated their valuable time since Celia’s House opened its doors, while others have only recently contributed to the magic of Celia’s House. They know this place—its rhythms, its people, its quiet moments. Their presence means more than we can say. To our volunteers at Celia’s House, we are grateful to each one of you.

Volunteers at The HUB in Ashland assist in a wide range of operations, including sorting donations, helping customers, and turning everyday shopping into something that truly matters. Every dollar raised at The HUB goes directly to supporting the care at Celia's House. To our HUB volunteers: you are the driving force behind The HUB's impact in our community. Thank you.

During this National Volunteer Appreciation Week, and every week, we recognize and honor our volunteers for their dedication to our mission.

If you've ever felt called to give your time in a meaningful way, we'd love to connect: https://www.sofriendsofhospice.org/new-volunteers/
