The Season of New Beginnings

Plant a Seed of Compassion

As spring blooms with new life, we reflect on the gift of care that nurtures our loved ones in their most vulnerable moments. Recently, Celia’s House nurses, caregivers, and volunteers cared for a resident during her final three weeks of life. Until her admission, her brother was her sole caregiver. Because of your generosity, not only did she receive exceptional care and comfort from our dedicated staff, but her brother was given a much-needed respite. Relieved of caregiving responsibilities, he was able to devote meaningful and priceless time with his sister until her passing. This spring, we invite you to join us in our mission to continue providing remarkable care to those who need it.

Our operations need $250,000 by May 12, 2025 to ensure every resident receives the compassion and support they deserve. End-of-life care is more than medical treatment—it is about providing comfort, dignity, and a peaceful environment during life's final chapter. Your donation directly impacts our ability to offer collaborative services, including emotional and spiritual support and a warm home environment.

Your contribution enables us to provide:

$300—one caregiver's entire shift

$600—all-inclusive services for one day for one resident

$4,000—24/7 care for one week for one resident

$16,000—24/7 care for one month for one resident

Each donation springs hope and healing, and every dollar you contribute helps us bloom alongside those who need us most. Your support makes a meaningful impact by renewing the operations at Celia's House to provide for our residents and their families. Together, we can ensure that everyone who comes to Celia's House receives the comfort and dignity they deserve in their final days. Let's seed a spring filled with compassion.

Service and Commitment With Heart:

Introducing Our New Development Director

Dear Community,

I am excited to introduce myself as the new Development Director for Southern Oregon Friends of Hospice. My name is Kendra Lellis, and it is truly my honor to join this extraordinary organization that provides compassionate care and a sense of peace to those at the most vulnerable stage of life.

The kind and gentle way our staff tirelessly focuses on the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of residents, their friends, and their families profoundly moves me. Hospice care's positive impact on individuals resonates with me. I am deeply committed to our mission of ensuring that our residents' last moments are filled with dignity, comfort, and love.

My experience includes working with various organizations, including non-profits; nothing feels more aligned with my heart than the sacred work here. The power of collective generosity and its tremendous difference in someone's life begins with strong relationships with donors, community leaders, and volunteers to help fund and sustain programs. I am eager to foster partnerships that elevate our mission and promote a broader knowledge of the benefits of end-of-life support.

I look forward to working closely with our dedicated team, volunteers, and generous supporters at Celia’s House and the HUB to strengthen our outreach and expand the resources necessary to continue caring for those who need us.

Thank you for allowing me the privilege of being a part of this remarkable community. I look forward to connecting with many of you in the weeks ahead. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you want to meet, have any questions, or would like to schedule a personal tour of Celia's House. I am always happy to connect.

Sincerely,

Kendra

Quotes From Families

"I was utterly astonished at the amazing care my friend received in her last weeks of life at Celia's house. The house is clean, bright and feels like a home. Yet the most valuable asset this home has to offer is the top-notch staff. They are kind, attentive and empathetic individuals who genuinely care about their residents and take any means necessary to ensure their comfort. They strive to ensure not only is the resident being cared for in every way possible but their loved ones, as well. Thank you to each of them, as the compassion they showed made this transition just a bit easier." - Debbie
