Banker Day A Success
Thank you to the 73 bankers who attended the annual MBA Banker Day at the Capitol that was held at the new Heritage Hall in the Capitol Complex. Among the distinguished panelists were Representative Brenda Carter, who serves as the Chair of the Insurance and Financial Services Committee, Representative Graham Filler, and Senator Aric Nesbitt. These legislators discussed a range of pertinent topics: financial literacy, banking cannabis, renters bill of rights, garnishment, and economic trends and housing.

REMINDER: ELT Mandatory Enrollment Date- Oct 1, 2023
MDOS announced that October 1, 2023 is the mandatory ELT enrollment date for lenders who finance vehicles in Michigan. Lenders are encouraged to enroll well in advance of the 10/1/23 date to maximize the benefits of ELT utilization. Announcing FDICconnect’s Banker Engagement Site for Consumer Compliance and CRA Examination Activities
In September 2023, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is launching a new Banker Engagement Site (BES) through FDICconnect. BES provides a secure and efficient portal to exchange documents, information, and communications for consumer compliance and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) examinations. Specifically, BES provides a financial institution’s authorized staff the ability to communicate with FDIC examination staff and to respond to the information and document requests made throughout the supervisory process.
