As the Chief Operating Officer for Kabouter Management LLC., Linda Choi is in charge of the firm's day-to-day operations and administration. The KM team of 35 professionals manages $5.3 billion in assets for institutional investors.
Many of the team members come from immigrant families and collectively speak 13 languages. These experiences give them an advantage, especially in the international small-cap space.
Linda started her career in venture capital in Korea, moving back to the US to complete her MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
After over a decade of holding various positions in strategic consulting, financial services, and telecommunications, Linda decided to join Peter Zaldivar, her brother-in-law, who is one of the co-founders and Senior Portfolio Managers at Kabouter. She stayed at the firm because of its entrepreneurial spirit, collaborative environment, and intellectual rigor.
"Kabouter is thrilled to be part of the NAA family and we have been a proud member since 2020. As a Latino-owned firm based in Chicago, diversity, equity, and inclusion have been central to the Kabouter’s values and ethos since its inception," Linda said.
And concluded, "As the country continues to struggle with social injustice and racial inequity, NAA’s dedication to advancing economic equity and social justice by focusing on diversity and inclusion in capital markets is vital today. We look forward to our continued partnership with NAA."
