In 2019, your support of East Side Neighborhood Services has helped us ensure that every person thrives and every person matters. This year, we need to raise just $50,000 to reach our goal. If all of our supporters like you made a gift of just $75 or more, we could easily surpass that goal.

For 105 years, our organization has been known as East Side Neighborhood Services. But what is our neighborhood? After all, we provide services to people well beyond the Northeast Minneapolis neighborhood where our main building is located. We have out-of-school time programs in Southeast Minneapolis, a summer camp in Northern Wisconsin, and food shelves all across Hennepin County. We create pathways to employment for older adults and young people in partnership with local hospitals and technology companies.

Being a neighbor is about so much more than just living near our main building (although we’d love for you to stop by anytime!) To us, being a neighbor is about the stories of the people around us.

Molly, like many of our participants, faces barriers to employment. Childcare and transportation are ever-present challenges, not to mention the every-day emergencies that can pop up and make it difficult to succeed in a new and tenuous job environment.

Together, we as neighbors can disrupt these barriers to stability. After all, a neighborhood needs to be a place where people can afford to live and thrive together.

Our Nursing Assistant program works directly with local hospitals, higher education, and local government to create a pathway that activates all the strengths people bring to the table and moves folks to a place of stability.

Molly now has a new career and a community of neighbors to help her grow and thrive.
