Regional Superintendent John K. Jonak and Assistant Regional Superintendent Katie Algrim were recently part of the Illuminate Career Pathways event, hosted by the City of Aurora, Waubonsee Community College, and the Valley Education for Employment System. They joined other organizations to talk with 9th graders from across the region as the students explored different careers.
At the ROE booth, students:
- Spun our career wheel to discover jobs that keep schools running, from bus driver and counselor to principal and superintendent
- Took a moment to thank an educator who has made a difference in their lives
Thank you to the event’s hosts for bringing students and local organizations together, and to every student who stopped by!
