Dear Five Star Families and Community Members,

Did you know that in 2020, 91% of every dollar raised went to support Adams 12 Five Star Students? This includes 100% of gifts from individual donors! This percentage highlights the efficacy of the Foundation. We are so proud to serve the community through the philanthropic energy and work of partners, board members, and donors.

The Foundation is continuing to press forward to address the needs of our students and Blueprint for Hunger Food Pantry Assistance has awarded $100,000 to help supply food for the 27 resource closets! We are hopeful for new opportunities as this year unfolds and will continue prioritizing programs that provide sustainable solutions.
Colorado Gives Day
Thank you for your support on Colorado Gives Day and throughout the year. Together, through donations and with a matching grant from Adams 12 Community Action Network, the day raised over $14,500!  These funds will give students access to education and necessary supplies, provide educators with more technology, and assist the district with the basic needs of impacted, homeless, and at-risk students to be learning ready.

Check out this video in gratitude for all you do!
Check out the resource closet at STEM Launch!

With many hours of hard work by Susie Vega (Office Manager), Maria Araujo (Secretary), Ana Guzman (PTO President), and Diana Figueroa (Family Liaison) put together a wonderful space to welcome STEM Launch families. They purchased a wide and well-balanced variety of soups, pasta, grains, cereal, hygiene products, diapers, baby clothes, uniforms, and special education tools to support teachers and students, winter jackets, and much more.

They expect to serve 30 to 50 families per month.
Check out Shadow Ridge's BIONIC Boutique & Bodega

Created by Debbie Millard, Counselor, and Julianna Pieken, School Social Worker & Social-Emotional Learning Specialist, in an effort to have students identify more with their school and feel more like they belong, the closet serves to help students focus on their community. The team has conducted virtual tours for individual classes so all students can see the resources available. This program has received an outpouring of support from Shadow Ridge Staff and students. Even student clubs have already volunteered to help run the closet.

Show your support for these efforts led by our amazing Five Star Staff and keep these resource closets stocked by becoming a monthly donor.
A small gift a month makes a huge difference!
