#11 Lincoln Ave Bus is Back!

Dear Neighbor,
The long anticipated
pilot program for the #11 bus begins this
Monday, June 20th. It will run along Lincoln Ave weekdays from 10 AM - 7 PM and serve more than 40 bus stops between the Western Brown Line stop and Fullerton. This schedule was designed to correspond with the adjacent Brown Line Service and the operating hours of many of the
businesses along the route.
For 6 months, the CTA will collect ridership data and feedback to help determine whether the line will be permanently reinstated. You are encouraged to ride the #11 frequently and share and share your opinion with the CTA.
Please meet us at the Lincoln & Wrightwood/Sheffield bus stop at 3 PM, Monday June 20 and join us for a northbound ride on the #11 on its inaugural day.

Drummond, Roslyn, and St. James Resurfaced
The 1100 block of N. Drummond, and the 400 blocks of W. Roslyn and W. St. James were recently resurfaced using 43rd Ward menu dollars. During the project, a sewer collapse
was discovered on St. James and the Department of Water Management will be repairing it this summer.

Movies in the Parks - Tonight!
The 16th annual
Movies in the Parks series debuts its first 43rd Ward event of the summer with a screening of
Ferris Bueller's Day Off on
tonight, June 15th at 8:30 PM at Lincoln Grove, located behind the Chicago History Museum. Bring a picnic basket, blanket, and your friends and family and enjoy a movie outdoors.

Lincoln Park Library Presents: Explore on the Go!
Teen Volunteers Needed
The Lincoln Park Branch Library,

seeking volunteers aged 12 to 18 to assist with the Summer Learning Challenge for Children running Monday, June 20 through Thursday, September 1. Volunteers who missed the training session last Saturday must attend the second session on

Annual 43rd Ward City Sticker Sale this Friday
The 43rd Ward's annual
City Sticker Sale
is
this
Friday, June 17th from 10 AM - 2 PM at
the DePaul University Student Center, 2250 N. Sheffield Ave in Room 380. This ward sale is limited to customers with "June" vehicle sticker expiration dates. Vehicle stickers, senior stickers, residential zone stickers, transfers, residential daily permits and motorcycle antique vehicle tags are available at this event run by the City Clerk's Office. New residents must provide proof of residency, such as a lease or mortgage statement or a utility bill, and their vehicle registration, to buy a City Sticker. Cash payments will not be accepted, so please bring a debit or credit card, or personal check.

Community Meeting on CPS Lead Testing
CPS is hosting a
community meeting Tuesday, June 21st at 6 PM at Payton High School, 1034 N. Wells,
to discuss the
ongoing lead testing program at CPS schools. Representatives from the Chicago
Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the Chicago Department of Water Management (DWM) will be present.
Parents, families, and other members of the CPS community are invited to attend
to learn more about the testing process itself and planned next steps.

Father's Day Ice Cream Social
The Maria Diaz Martinez Apartments, 2111 N. Halsted, and our office threw a wonderful ice cream social for seniors on Friday, June 10th in honor of Father's Day with a barbershop quartet from the

Operation Help - A - Hero
The 43rd Ward and Operation Help-A- Hero will be collecting basic household items and toiletries throughout the month of June in an effort to help the hundreds of Chicagoland veterans who are homeless. All donations will be delivered to the United State's Department of Veteran's Affairs, who will distribute materials to qualifying veterans
in need of assist
ance. Please drop off donations at the Ward office, 2523 N. Halsted.
