Greetings Friends,
As we wrap up the first quarter, I hope you're feeling the excitement of spring in the air and looking forward to a fresh start filled with new opportunities for success. This past month, the Chamber team has been hard at work, hosting an HR workshop and a training session on becoming MWBE certified. We’re grateful to everyone who attended and found value in these educational experiences.
On March 6th, we hosted the Chamber's Annual Dinner, where we proudly celebrated our 2025 Business and Nonprofit of the Year, as well as our Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. LaBarge Media, honored as Business of the Year, is also marking its 40th year of excellence in business storytelling. Neighbor to Neighbor, our Nonprofit of the Year, shared its inspiring mission — "Our community is at its best when the least among us is lifted by the rest." Their stories of impact across Ontario County resonated with our attendees. Finally, Tim Chaapel delivered a heartfelt acceptance speech as our Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, reinforcing the passion, dedication, and mentorship he has brought to our community.
If you missed the event, you can check out some of the highlights and photos here. A special thank you to our generous sponsors for making the evening possible through their financial and in-kind contributions. Your belief in our community is invaluable.
Looking ahead to April, we invite you to our first Morning Mixer of the year on Wednesday, April 2nd at the Finger Lakes Boating Museum in Hammondsport. While it may be a bit of a drive, we assure you it will be well worth your time to connect with this incredible organization and fellow Chamber members.
Additionally, on April 8th, our State of the County event will take place at Ravenwood Golf Course—be sure to register now to hear key updates from County leadership on important topics.
As we refresh our spaces for spring, take a moment to renew your spirit and embrace the opportunities ahead.
Looking forward,
Tracey
