I Am an Artist:

Describing What I Do

Each of us is at a different place when it comes to describing our work. At times we may struggle to find the right words, other times we can speak clearly about a project, and at our best we confidently share our vision in ways that connect to bigger conversations. Where do you see yourself? Are you still searching for the right language, beginning to articulate it, or ready to boldly claim and share your story?

Article: How Will the US Government Shutdown Impact Museums?

The U.S. government has shut down, putting federal agencies and cultural institutions such as the Smithsonian, National Gallery of Art, and national monuments at risk. Some remain open for now with reserve funds, but closures and furloughs may soon follow.
