I Work with Artists: Regrounding in The Body

In moments of disconnection or overstimulation, we all respond differently.

Some of us feel silenced in our bodies. Some are learning and can reground once in a while. Some can reconnect more often as awareness grows. And some are consistently able to return to center with clarity and ease.

Where do you see yourself on this path of growing resilience?

LUKE HARBUR

Kansas City, MO

Tell us about yourself.

Luke “Skippy” Harbur is a performer, producer, and educator whose business, musicbyskippy, creates arts experiences for multigenerational audiences. Through beatboxing and other artistic skills, his work celebrates authenticity and combats social isolation. 74 published songs, over 1,400 sold tickets, and surviving two major surgeries keeps Harbur living a prosperous life.

I thrive when I...

surround myself with other innovative, inspiring creative individuals and organizations. In this day and age it’s getting harder to keep going in the arts . . . but ask yourself: who is ready to still show up? Be that answer, make your difference!
