$16,500 in College Scholarships Awarded

Congratulations to the 2024 graduating classes of New Berlin Eisenhower and New Berlin West! The Education Foundation of New Berlin launched its scholarship program with the class of 2022 and is thrilled to have grown to include six scholarship programs awarding $16,500 this year! Donations can be made to any of these scholarship funds on our website to support future School District of New Berlin Graduates.

EFNB has a steadfast commitment to strengthening education, athletics, and extracurricular activities, guided by our mission to enhance financial support, awareness, and advocacy for the School District of New Berlin. We envision a community that not only values but actively champions public education, recognizing its profound impact in shaping the future. With the Community Scholarship program, we aspire to empower students to pursue their academic and career aspirations, while instilling a sense of civic duty and service. Congratulations to Mary Gerovac, Macy McCormick, and Amelia Olson on their $500 Scholarships!

The Extra Lap Scholarship Fund was established in 2022 by The Jef & Carolyn Radtke Family for the New Berlin West student and teammate who demonstrates going “the extra lap.” The recipient’s effort in overcoming their own personal obstacles helps maximize the team’s performance. Congratulations to Kathryn Moe on her $2,000 award!

The Ike Soccer 2022 Champions Scholarship was founded in honor of the New Berlin Eisenhower girls and boys high school soccer teams making history by winning the school’s first two WIAA State Soccer Championships in 2022.  The program will annually recognize at least one girl and one boy Ike soccer player for their contributions to the New Berlin Eisenhower Soccer program, school & community leadership, and demonstration of the values of New Berlin Eisenhower School. We're proud to honor Sarah Stadler and Daniel Woo with $500 awards.

The Payton Alexander Memorial Golf Scholarship honors the 2020 alumna from New Berlin West who participated in the girls' varsity golf team. Payton battled cancer for four years. She lost her fight to cancer in November of 2021. She loved golf and cared about her education. Payton always had a positive attitude, worked hard, and volunteered for many non-profit organizations. This scholarship is intended to continue her legacy and bring awareness to childhood cancer.

The Peter Michaud Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2021 by educators at Ronald Reagan Elementary School. Led by the Student Council, students have raised funds to establish and endow this scholarship in loving memory of their late teacher to honor his love for travel and geography. Congratulations to Meredith Giese & Mary Gerovac on their $1,000 awards.

The New Berlin Athletic Association provides resident youth with a variety of athletic programs focusing on the fundamentals of each sport, teamwork, and sportsmanship. In 2023, they have moved to pay it forward with a scholarship program to honor program participants, particularly its umpires and referees with a scholarship award. Congratulations to this year's seven $1,000 award recipients: Nora Betry, Katie Gerten, Benjamin Miller, Kathryn Moe, Ethan Kluck, Keegan Tadych, and Brandon Ziemanski-Dolezal.
