Thank you again for registering for the 2022 APPAM Fall Research Conference. We're excited to host you and over 2,000 of your colleagues this week in our hometown of Washington D.C.! Below is some helpful information we wanted to share with you before you arrive so you can make the most of your experience at #2022APPAM.
Hotel & Transportation Information
All #2022APPAM sessions and events will take place at the Washington Hilton located at 1919 Connecticut Ave., Washington D.C., 20009. The hotel desk can be reached at (202) 483-3000.
Airports
Attendees should plan to use one of three airports:
Ground Transportation & Parking
Car Rentals: Those wishing to rent a car may do so with most major rental companies at any of the three airports. The Washington Hilton offers parking rates of $54/day for self-park.
Ridesharing & Taxis: Taxis, Uber, and Lyft are all readily available in the Washington D.C. area and can be taken from the airport to the hotel.
D.C. Metro: Attendees are able to access the metro from the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). The hotel is a 9 minute walk from the DuPont Circle Metro Station on the Red Line.
Registration Information
When you arrive at the hotel, please proceed to the APPAM Registration Desk to pick-up your conference name badge. The APPAM Registration Desk is located on the Terrace Level in Columbia Ballroom inside the Exhibit Hall.

- Thursday: 7:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Friday: 7:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Saturday: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Registration for the 2022 APPAM Fall Research Conference includes access to all sessions, daily morning and afternoon refreshment breaks, Thursday and Friday receptions, the Saturday poster luncheon, and all other non-ticketed conference activities.
Thursday, November 17, 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
We’ve had a record number of RSVPs for this lunch so please arrive early in order to get your meal and seat of choice. The event doors and buffet lines will open at 11:45 AM in the International Ballroom on the Concourse Level. Seating and lunches are limited and are offered on a first come, first served basis. If you’re unable to join us live, the event will be recorded and posted shortly after the conference.
APPAM Code of Conduct
APPAM would like to remind conference attendees of the association’s Code of Conduct and the ability to report inappropriate conduct. If you experience a violation of the Code of Conduct, or any behavior that makes you uncomfortable, please let us know as soon as possible as APPAM and the Code of Conduct Committee (CCC) take these reports very seriously. You can report such behavior via this form. If you have any questions about the Code of Conduct or reporting process, please email info@appam.org.
COVID-19 Safety
All attendees should have uploaded their COVID-19 vaccine card to 42Chat before arrival. If you did not, please report directly to the Onsite Registration desk to show proof of vaccination. If you do not have proof of vaccination, you will not be able to participate in the conference in any capacity and you will be asked to leave. There are no exemptions or exceptions.
