Holiday Shop Testimonial

"This was a new experience for me and I was nervous at first, but the entire staff was so gracious and helpful. It was a big help for me this year with the cost of everything being so high. May God bless this organization and everyone involved!"

WE HAD A RECORD-BREAKING YEAR - AGAIN!

Serving our community is first and foremost at Johnson County Christmas Bureau. Our 2023 Holiday SHOP served over 13,300 of our Johnson County neighbors this season. From new bikes to new coats, groceries, clothes and everything in between - our neighbors were delighted with the selection and dignity they received from our most dedicated volunteers.

Our fundraisers also set records for future community impact. Festival of Trees raised a record $47,367 in 2023, which is over a $13,000 increase from the past year! Thank you to our awesome volunteer team and fabulous designers who helped make this event a success.

Our Holiday of Hope Event also had more sponsorships and donations in 2023, exceeding every goal. Together we raised…over $148,000!! Thanks to all of our donors, supporters, and friends.

It’s remarkable the number of volunteers that work year-round to support our neighbors who need a little extra during the holidays and winter months. Thank you to our JCCB Board Members and Team Leads who give so selflessly of their time and resources. You are truly friends of our community and Friends of JCCB!

Many thanks to our 2023 Board President!

Our past-president, Courtney Hannah has shown incredible passion and motivation for helping others over the past 9 years. She says that one of the things she loves most about being a part of JCCB is the relationships and friendships. Department Team Leads collaborate, support, and encourage each other as they serve our low-income neighbors. One thing WE love about Courtney is that she is always ready to show up, and brings joy to every situation as she ‘dresses’ for the occasion.

We want to extend our huge appreciation to her for serving as President of the Board of Directors in 2023. Thank you for your dedication, support and the numerous hours that you give in every area from coordinating product pick-up; serving on numerous committees; countless hours of work; and your overall leadership as you continue as a Board Member.

We are sure that as a full-time business owner, wife, mom and new ‘glam-ma’ to her first grandchild….the family will look forward to more time with her in the coming year.

Join the JCCB Team!

We have volunteer opportunities all year-round. If you would like to get more information about volunteering with JCCB, join us for one of our Meet Us Monday Zoom meetings. Moving Truck

Seeking experienced drivers!

One of our specialized volunteer needs each year is for experienced drivers to help us pick up our donations and move into our shop location. If you or someone you know is a safe, courteous driver that is comfortable with trucks and trailers - please contact us at admin@jccb.org.

2024 HOLIDAY SHOP

The Holiday Shop for 2024 will open in early December 2024. Our planning is already underway! Shopping for merchandise started on December 26th of last year and is still taking place now! Our fundraising plans for Holiday of Hope 2024 and Festival of Trees are being made and team openings are being filled.

If you are interested in volunteering throughout the year, please contact us by email at admin@jccb.org or by phone at 913-341-4342.
