Greetings! 

The Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA) Scholars Fund supports CGSA Student members pursuing turfgrass-related education, helping them advance their knowledge, skills, and career prospects in the profession.

New for 2025

The CGSA Board of Directors has approved $7,500 in total scholarship funds for the 2025 academic year, awarded as follows:

• 1st Place: $5,000
• 2nd Place: $1,500
• 3rd Place: $1,000

Who Can Apply

To be eligible, applicants must:

• Be a CGSA Student Member
• Be a Canadian citizen
• Be enrolled in:
• At least the second year of a two-year (or longer) recognized turfgrass program or
• A one-year turf equipment mechanic course
• Have at least one season of employment on a golf course

The application deadline is November 30, 2025.

Students enrolled in a Board-approved Turfgrass Program can apply for free Student Membership online:

Join as a Student Member and select the student category.
