NCICG would like to congratulate the following 7 communities in obtaining $3,482,710 in CDBG Public Infrastructure and Housing Rehabilitation projects.  
These funds are coming to communities from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program through the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO). 
It is anticipated that construction on these projects will start in spring of 2023. 

Public Infrastructure $1,282,710
 
  • The Village of Mineral is receiving $451,800 for waste water treatment facility improvements.

  • The City Princeton is receiving $406,910 for Sanitary Sewer replacement on Marion Street.

  • The Village of Sparland is receiving $424,000 for water system improvements. 

Housing Rehabilitation $2,200,000

  • The City of Marseilles is receiving $550,000 for the rehabilitation of 10 homes.

  • The City of Ottawa is receiving $550,000 for the rehabilitation of 10 homes.

  • The City of Spring Valley is receiving $550,000 for the rehabilitation of 10 homes.

  • The City of Streator is receiving $550,000 for the rehabilitation of 10 homes.
