Welcome to the November issue of the Holladay Properties' company newsletter. First and foremost, we'd like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. On to the news...we are very excited to announce our two newest projects, Quincy Station in Westmont, IL and Home2 Suites in Fishers, IN, and a recent celebration for the "topping off" of our Tru by Hilton hotel in Baltimore, MD. We also have some exciting operations news, new hires and associate achievements to announce, and some wonderful "In the Community" events to share. New Projects:
  • Quincy Station - Holladay Properties has begun demolition of 7 W. Quincy, and 14 and 20 S. Cass Avenue in Westmont, IL. The demolition is the first phase of construction for the Quincy Station mixed-use multi-family residential development. Continue reading...
  • Home2 Suites - Holladay Properties is partnering with Dora Hospitality Group to develop a new Home2 Suites by Hilton extended-stay hotel in Fishers, IN. The four-story, 91-room hotel will feature an indoor swimming pool, a business center, a breakfast area, and a fitness area. Continue reading...

  • Central State - On November 19, Holladay Properties joined M/I Homes, People for Urban Progress, Reverie Estates, and ULI Indiana at Central State as part of the ULI On Location event series. The event featured remarks from Holladay Developer, Chase Smith, as well as our development partners. Continue reading...
  • Tru by Hilton Hotel - Holladay Properties joined general contractor, Wohlsen Construction and others at the Tru by Hilton hotel project in Baltimore, MD for a "topping off" party on November 20. The "topping off" recognized the installation of the last plank for the roof deck of the eight-story, 140-room hotel. Continue reading...
In the News:
  • NewPorte Landing - A recent article in the LaPorte County Herald Argus highlights development at NewPorte Landing in LaPorte, IN. Holladay Properties began working with the Greater LaPorte Economic Development Corporation, the LaPorte Redevelopment Commission, the Community Development Partnership, and the City of LaPorte, Indiana in 2013 on the NewPorte Landing project, including providing consulting, remediation, and marketing services. Office News:
  • Holladay Properties' Nashville office and healthcare headquarters has moved to 2710 Old Lebanon Road, Suite 5, Nashville, TN 37214. The new office is located in Donelson Plaza, a 200,000 square foot retail center on 11 acres that Holladay is revitalizing into a modern town center.
  • On Friday, November 22, Holladay Properties' South Bend office was honored by a visit from U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-IN). Senator Young has been representing Indiana in the US Senate since 2017. In addition to our associates having the opportunity to meet Senator Young, a small group representing multiple functions of Holladay were able to meet with the Senator in a private meeting to discuss federal issues affecting our company.
Hospitality News:
  • Travelers coming in to South Bend, IN via the Indiana Toll Road will notice a new sight at Exit 77, at the Inn at Saint Mary's Hotel - an enormous Christmas Tree. Holladay has been working with the team at the Inn and Holladay Construction Group for several months, and installed a foundation for the tree in August. Last week, the tree was delivered, installed, and decorated.

  • Holladay Properties was honored to be named the Remarkable Corporate Partner at the Damar Services, Inc. Difference Maker Awards Breakfast for 2019. Holladay is a proud supporter of Damar Services, whose mission of building better futures for people with developmental and behavioral challenges complements our own mission of enriching lives through investment and service.

 New Hires & Staff Updates:
  • Holladay Properties' Nashville would like to welcome Leigh Bishop and Sean Wahidi to the team. Leigh is the new Administrative Assistant-Engineering and Sean is an HR Intern. Welcome to Holladay, Leigh & Sean!
  • Ken Herman has joined Holladay Properties as a Vice President of Hospitality. Ken will be supporting Holladay's Hospitality growth as we continue to develop both tradition and extended-stay hotels. He will also be leading the role out for the Tru by Hilton in Manassas, VA next summer. Good luck, Ken!
Staff Shout-Outs:
  • Join us in congratulating Catherine Hernandez, Senior Property Manager (Miami, FL) on her appointment to the 2020-2021 Board of Directors for BOMA-Miami-Dade. Catherine will be part of a group of commercial real estate professionals seeking to improve and expand BOMA Miami-Dade by bringing real value to the education and support of its membership. Congratulations, Catherine!
  • David Holt, Senior Vice President of Development and Community Affairs (Indianapolis, IN), has been voted in as a new Indiana Chamber of Commerce Board Member. The Chamber is Indiana's leading advocacy organization for business. David serves on the Congressional Affairs Committee, the Economic Development Committee, and the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. Continue reading...
