Their Insane Value Langhe Nebbiolo 2021

"Made 100% from Barbaresco-designated vineyards. It is, quite frankly, better than a few wines from more prestigious appellations. Don't miss it."

2018 Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco DOCG

95 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"No crus were produced in 2018. The 2018 Barbaresco is aromatically expressive, with a perfumed and mineral character, with rocky earth. It has medium body, good concentration, and plenty of fruit and mineral earth that drive through the finish. An outstanding value, drink 2025-2045." (5/4/2023)

93 Points - James Suckling:
"Lovely barbaresco, with all the typical nebbiolo characteristics, such as red berries, mushrooms and dried leaves, as well as hints of bitter orange peel and spice. All this follows through to the medium-to full-bodied palate, where fine, lightly firm tannins add a little grip and additional focus. Compact, but bursting with flavor. Delicious now, but give it a year or two. It will only get better." (Dec 2021)

93 Points - Robert Parker's WA:
"Packaged in its distinctive brown paper label, the Produttori del Barbaresco 2018 Barbaresco is a beautifully lean and luminous expression of Nebbiolo, and that pretty color should remain intact over time. The aromas are bold and ripe with dark and purple fruit, but the bouquet shows interesting twists with earth, truffle, licorice and grilled herb. As the wine opens in the glass, you begin to notice heavier aromas of raisin and dried apricot. It wears a warm-vintage signature for sure, and for that reason, I would suggest a shorter drinking window for the 2018. You get a great value with this bottle." - Monica Larner (Jun 2022)

93 Points - Wine & Spirits:
"The challenging "Conditions in 2018 led Produttori to forego all of their single-cru wines, a difficult financial decision for the winery but an opportunity for wine lovers. This wine opens with classic scents of tar and roses, red berry and cherry flavors that are ripe and round, freshened by notes of fennel and thyme, and deepened by that cru level fruit. Grab a case if you can."

92 Points - Vinous:
"The 2018 Barbaresco is an attractive, open-knit wine to drink now and over the next 10-15 years, maybe more. In 2018 the Produttori did not bottle their Riservas. Instead, all of the best lots of those grapes went into the straight Barbaresco bottling, another in a long string of successes from this historic house. Dark cherry, cedar, tobacco and spice fill out the layers. There is good depth and a good deal of tannin too, just not the complexity or nuance of the very best years." - Antonio Galloni (Feb 2022)

92 Points - The Wine Independent:
"This 2018 Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco has a subtle nose, some spice, green herb and bright, cherry notes, but just now it is not very forthcoming. In time, the nose opens a little to warm, spicy, dried fruits aromas. On the palate there is plenty of bright, juicy, mouthwatering acidity, although the wine feels a little leaner in the middle. This is a pretty, quite fragile style but very approachable and enjoyable, offering flavors of sun-dried fruit rather than fresh berries. It is refreshing and lively with gentle tannins and a tangy finish." - Susan Hulme (7/22)

2015 Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco DOCG

93 Points - Robert Parker's WA:
"The 2015 vintage opens to a visibly darker color and thicker concentration compared to recent past vintages. Next to the upcoming 2016 and 2017 editions, we can expect 2015 to be the most fruit-forward of the three. You get dark tones of plum and blackberry with dry tannins at the rear." - Monica Larner (Jun 2018)

93 Points - Wine Spectator:
"Charming aromas of cherry, strawberry and rose are inviting in this red, with flavors to match, showing ripeness and focus. Earth and mineral elements chime in as this firms up, but the harmony is there and this should really sing in about five years. Best from 2022 through 2040." - BS (Dec 2018)

93 Points - Wine Enthusiast:
"Rose petal, dark spice and camphor aromas slowly take shape in the glass along with a whiff of tar. Juicy and delicious, the smooth full-bodied palate has a weightless elegance, delivering succulent Marasca cherry, ripe raspberry, licorice and tobacco while fine-grained tannins provide support. Drink 2021–2027." - Kerin O'Keefe (2/1/2019)

2021 Produttori del Barbaresco Langhe Nebbiolo DOC

93 Points - Wine Advocate:
The 2021 Langhe Nebbiolo opens to dark primary fruit with medium concentration and elegant tones of dried blackberry and pressed cherry. There is a soft earthy quality to the wine that recalls tea, dried tobacco leaf or peat moss. However, the slightly more concentrated quality of Nebbiolo offered by this wine is the main attraction. Cola or dried mint adds lift at the end.

91 Points - Vinous:
"The 2021 Langhe Nebbiolo is a serious wine that will give readers a very good idea of what is in store with this vintage. Just bottled, the 2021 shows great depth and tons of character. Firm tannins wrap around a core of dark red Nebbiolo, with embryonic hints of spice and flowers that develop wth a bit of air. As always, the Produttori's Langhe Nebbiolo is made 100% from Barbaresco-designated vineyards. The 2021 spent 20 days on the skins, unheard of for a wine at this level. It is, quite frankly, better than a few wines from more prestigious appellations. Don't miss it." - Antonio Galloni (Dec 2022)

90 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"A youthful ruby with good concentration, the 2021 Langhe Nebbiolo is approachable and supple with fine tannins, ripe red and black berries, pressed flowers, and sweet tannins. Fresh and inviting, with crunchy acidity, it is beautiful now and I expect it to continue to drink well over the coming 6-8 years." (5/4/2023)
