HeForShe Champion, Stony Brook University, is working to correct imbalance to help their students and faculty understand their own biases and the impact this has on their career paths. Through this they were able to increase female enrollment in STEM by 46.6% from 2013 to 2018.

Timothy Glotch’s broad research interests include understanding the role of water in shaping the surface of Mars in terms of both mineralogy and geomorphology and using vibrational spectroscopy to understand the composition of Mars and the Moon. He is the Principal Investigator of the $5.5 million Remote, In Situ, and Synchrotron Studies for Science and Exploration (RIS4E) project, which is part of NASA’s Solar System Exploration Research Virtual Institute.
