This weekend, we're welcoming Raquel, a petite, 15-pound momma from West Virginia with her seven precious puppies in tow. She was dumped at a shelter after the birth of her puppies where they euthanize for space.
We don’t know much about Raquel’s past, only that she has been working overtime to keep her seven little ones safe and fed. Despite her small size, she has poured every ounce of her energy into caring for them, but now that they are with us, it’s our turn to take care of her.
Raising a litter of seven isn’t just a big job; it’s a big medical undertaking. To get this sweet family ready for their eventual forever homes, we need to take care of the following:
Transport & Logistics: Fuel and travel coordination to get all eight safely to our doors
Mama’s Care: Full vet exams, spay, and recovery nutrition for Raquel after nursing such a large litter.
The Puppies: Seven rounds of vaccinations, multiple deworming treatments, and the specialized care they need to grow strong and healthy.
Supplies: A mountain of puppy pads, high-quality food, and essentials for the next few weeks.
As you can imagine, the costs add up quickly. This $5 Friday, we’re asking our community to chip in to help us give Raquel and her seven pups the best possible start.
Will you give $5 to support this mama and her babies as they begin their new life?
