This week, we welcomed Miracle and Mara, two senior Poodle/Yorkie mixes who had been living in an unimaginable situation.
Their owner is suffering from dementia, and as the illness progressed, these poor seniors were left living in feces, severely neglected, and completely matted.
Getting them to Greenmore was only the first step; the physical transformation they needed was extensive.
- Emergency Grooming: Miracle had to be shaved down just to relieve the heavy, painful mats pulling at her skin.
- Full Medical Overhaul: Both seniors had to be spayed, brought up to date on all their shots, and started on medications to treat painful skin infections.
- Dental Care: They will also need dental cleanings to get their mouths healthy.
This $5 Friday, we’re asking our community to chip in to help cover their heavy medical and grooming bills.
