$5 Per Bottle of Rust Wine Co. 2019 Gamay Noir Goes to support
BC’s Hospitality Workers

March 24, 2020 (Vancouver) The BC Hospitality Foundation (BCHF) is pleased to announce it will receive partial proceeds from the sale of a BC VQA wine grown and crafted by Rust Wine Co. The winery has just released 6-packs of its 2019 Gamay Noir Magnum (1.5l). $5.00 per bottle of the wine will be donated to the BCHF.

Rust Wine Co.’s Gamay Noir is made from fruit grown in the Similkameen Valley’s
Lazy River Vineyard. The vineyard is situated on stony slopes and the grapes
benefit from both desert heat and a constant wind. The 2019 Gamay Noir has classic
Similkameen notes of cracked pepper, red fruits, and tobacco, making it a great
match for a wide variety of cuisine as well as for sipping on its own.

Winery representative Jesse Harnden says Rust Wine Co. is happy to help support
the BCHF’s work: “ our winery was built on the idea of valuing the land we farm, but
we also value the people who live on that land. We’re proud to be part of the
incredibly diverse hospitality industry that plays such an important role in this

The BCHF’s Executive Director, Dana Harris, says she’s always amazed by
the generosity of individuals and businesses in the hospitality sector. “ We’re
grateful for the support we receive from the public, but support from within our
own community is essential for us to deliver on our mission, which includes not only
providing financial assistance to hospitality workers who are facing financial crisis
due to medical circumstances, but also scholarships for up-and-coming individuals
in the field.
