I can't remember a Pora with this much depth, textural resonance and brooding intensity. The 2014 needs at least a few years to be at its best, but it is superb even in the early going. In other words, you can taste that the fruit has not been stressed by adverse weather conditions. There's a significant mineral contribution as well with rusty notes of wet soil and terracotta. The tannins show a spot of firm astringency that is common in the wines of Serralunga d'Alba.
