Basic science initiatives – that is, those scientific inquiries that aim to deepen our fundamental understanding of natural phenomena – are integral to the identity and mission of UCSF. Two generous gifts are now helping our key basic science programs grow.

Testing and Vaccinations On-The-Go: Gavin Larson takes a self-swab COVID-19 test as Cameron Macseng, vaccine support specialist with the UCSF Fresno COVID-19 Equity Project, assists with registration and testing.
