Normally, when you see this producer and this region, your flavor memory darts to the sweet Muscat wines that made the Beaumes de Venise area famous. Not today! We are offering what may have just become one of our top dry red Cotes du Rhone in our portfolio.

The estate has 5 people that work full-time in their vineyard. They do everything by hand and use very little, if any, chemicals. 99% of what they do is organic and chemicals will only be used when absolutely necessary.

The vineyards in the region are difficult to work, as they are very steep and held together by man-made walls made from restanque, their local river rock.  The vineyards in Beaumes de Venise are 1 of 16 areas that hold the status of Cru.

Cru status means they have been producing exceptional wines consistently for some time. The red wines from this region no longer have to be referred to as Cotes du Rhone, but can now distinguish themselves from their regional name, Beaumes de Venise.
Remember, we will store your wine all summer or winter long if needed, free of charge when it is too cold or hot  to ship in your area, our area, or anywhere in between!

We also offer HEATING PACKS to all states & COOLING PACKS to most states on the checkout page to allow shipping at anytime.

Bernardins Beaumes de Venise Rouge
Cru Cotes du Rhone 2017

"Aged for 10-12 months in stainless steel, this has intense juniper and rosemary notes on the very rounded and savoury palate. The tannins are robust but ripe and will need time to settle, and the acidity is fierce. It's very powerful but balanced overall, retaining freshness. An impressive wine with tremendous focus and seething energy. Another excellent vintage for one of the best value wines in the southern Rhône. Drinking Window 2022 - 2028"
