PHC Welcomes Pediatrician Dr. Eilan Levkowitz

Priority Health Care is pleased to announce that Eilan Levkowitz, DO, has joined our medical staff in the pediatric clinic.

A native of Destrehan, La., Dr. Levkowitz earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City Missouri. He completed his residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and trained at Children’s Hospital of New Orleans( CHNOLA), including the Pediatric Emergency Room at CHNOLA and West Jefferson Medical Center.

Levkowitz also studied global health delivery through Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard School of Public Health, working in both Boston as well as at Lao Friends Children’s Hospital in Laos, Southeast Asia.

Levkowitz says his global work has served to inform his understanding of health care delivery to underserved populations and marginalized communities. “While my public and global health training pushes me to think globally, I am committed to my New Orleans community and to providing compassionate, comprehensive, culturally competent, patient-centered care to your babies, teens, and young adults,” he added.

PHC launches new website

PHC recently launched a new website that is designed to provide user-friendly functionality to the site on multiple platforms. In other words, the website easily conforms to fit screens on various devices including smart phones and tablets as well as desktop computers.

Patients will continue to be able to request appointments, input their information, and request prescription refills by accessing the website. Here’s the link to the patient information and forms.

We hope patients, employees, and other stakeholders will enjoy the ease of use and attractiveness of the new website.
We're going the extra mile to keep you safe

Our environmental staff is going the extra mile by disinfecting commonly touched surfaces on a more rigorous schedule than usual to ensure the safety of employees and patients. In addition to our daily sanitizing work, we have contracted with Cintas Facility Services for monthly deep cleaning of all bathrooms including public bathrooms in our buildings. We’ve added more hand sanitizer machines in clinics in and office spaces as well.

In addition, we continue to take safety measures to protect our staff and patients by wearing masks, providing hand sanitizer, practicing physical distancing and offering virtual visits to patients. We also post updated information on our website,   social media, and in our Marrero and Gretna clinics. We are updating our actions as the coronavirus situation changes based on recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control, and the Louisiana Department of Health as well as the City of New Orleans.
