Greetings!
Happy Pride Month! Once again this year, the usual marches, parades, and gatherings aren't happening in person, but that doesn't mean there aren't ways we can show our Pride! After all, it was the Founder of our church/denomination, Rev. Troy Perry, that got us started with Pride parades in the first place! Keep a watch on the sanctuary as the red color of Pentecost transitions in to the Pride colors this month!

Didn't you just love Camille Araullo's message last Sunday? I was so proud of her, and I was so touched by her message. It was easy to see why she received the Good Shepherd Preaching Award from Claremont School of Theology, wasn't it? Such a heartfelt and deep message for us. Thank you, Camille.

This Sunday, I'll preach a message entitled, A Home At The End Of The Rainbow. (I have a feeling the rainbow will be very prevalent in our messages all month!) If you'd like to read ahead, check out I Samuel 8:4-15 (Message) and Mark 3:20-21, 30-35 (Message).

I know that you are all getting ready to start regathering for worship. Next week, I plan to meet with the board, the Creative Worship Team, and the worship participants to do some final planning. I'm reminded of the old song, "Hold On A Little Longer." We're almost there!

Hospitality - online - after worship!
Don't forget that we have a time of Hospitality after worship each Sunday. The link is at the top of the first page of our website. Come and have some fun with your church family!
A pandemic changed the world. It raged across the world threatening to consume us all regardless of race, age, gender, sexuality, religion or political affiliation. We have learned to live in different ways, work in different ways and love in different ways. We have learned to pray and worship God differently.

Paradoxically, a pandemic that kills, maims and incapacitates is leading us to a new world. Perhaps the biggest lesson lies in the nature of the pandemic - and the contagion that drives it. We must recognize that Love is also contagious and is a more powerful pandemic force than COVID. As we socially distance from COVID, may we socially connect in love. As we protect our physical bodies from the COVID pandemic - may we open up our hearts to the pandemic of love.

May the force of good rage across the world with more power and potency than forces of evil. As those who have suffered loss from the pandemic grieve, may we lean into a pandemic of love and continue to cover them in the Grace of God. May we learn that even in our darkest moments, there are lessons to be learned that bring us closer to God.
