Letters of Recommendation

The best letters of recommendation come from people who are:
  • Familiar with your work, and feel strongly positive about it.
  • Have the time to write a letter that will truly impress a hiring manager.
  • Are in a position of authority or otherwise have a reputation that will mean something to the employer. Ideally it would be your direct supervisor/department chairperson, dean, or head of school.

When requesting a Letter of Recommendation from the Dean of Academics, please let Marianne know so she can schedule a visit to your class for the purpose of writing a better letter.

Mercy, in partnership with Life Long Learning, will continue to collect your self-reported professional information to create your biographies on the Life Long Learning website, LinkedIn Connections Application, and Mercy's website Staff Directory page. Your completed biography for all sites will be available as links for your resume.

Josten’s Representative for Class Rings on Campus - Feb. 25

On Tuesday, February 25, our Josten’s representative will be on campus for class ring orders. Alumnae and students can get sized and place orders during lunch.
Lunch Change - Feb. 28

With early dismissal on Friday, February 28 there will be no food service from Epicurean that day. In addition, the cafeteria will be closed during Intersession week March 2 - 6.
One Love Foundation Back at Mercy - Feb. 28

The Wellness Department and Live Well Club continues it's second visit to host workshops about healthy and unhealthy relationships. 

Friday, Feb. 28: Grade-level Workshops 
Students will do their workshops in homeroom, also led by Peer Facilitators

Good news: Mercy SF has been named a One Love Hero School in recognition of our commitment to healthy relationship education through a combination of educational reach, student leadership and ongoing awareness-building activities! Congrats, Mercy!

ASB is hosting one last dance in Barrett Hall. Thank you to the faculty/staff who volunteered to chaperone this event!

Intersession Permission Forms & Behavioral Contracts

Please refer to the Intersession Payments spreadsheet to see if your students have turned in their Permission Forms and Behavioral Contracts. They are past due, please remind your students in person or via email to get this in to Pam or turn them in to the main office to be placed in her mailbox. Extra Behavioral Forms are located in the Main Office.

Yearbook Pictures Urgently Needed!

Please help the student staff design THE BEST and last Mercy High School Yearbook! 

Please see the list of pictures we need most. We especially needs candids from your classroom.

The final draft needs be submitted before Spring Break if we want to have a yearbook before the end of the year.

Student Shadowing Continues

Students are still shadowing throughout the month. We are trying to keep track of the schedule of shadowing students. Please be aware of large groups of students being absent on particular days when you are scheduling tests.
