"Information flow is what the Internet is about. Information sharing is power. If you don't share your ideas, smart people can't do anything about them, and you'll remain anonymous and powerless.”

Data Analytics & Storage on the Cloud - Part 1

Picture: Framework for Data warehousing in the Cloud

Many of us who have spent time in the technology industry are quite familiar with data storage for transactional systems (e.g. making a purchase) which is a system of records and have heard of Data Warehouses as part of the corporate information factory in the quest of “single version of truth” management reports.

But a trip down the memory lane is necessary to set the context right for those who are just coming of age so that all of us can be on the same page before we talk of modern data and Analytics systems and data warehouses in the cloud and more.

This is an excerpt drawn with permission from Veridic's Chief Digital Officer, Piyush Malik in an article serving as part 1 in Data and Storage series for our ASEI readers.

Celebrating Pride Month -  Standing shoulder to shoulder united with Asian American Community

ASEI has been an advocate of DEI initiatives and acceptance and equality for all. Especially as we live in an increasingly racially and politically charged environment where we are at the risk of losing our healthcare and potentially civic liberties if we don't speak up, we must all stand united against Asian hate. ASEI President Piyush Malik had an opportunity a few months ago to speak up as well as was invited last week to join the events in San Francisco celebrating Pride month. One of the events featured a fireside chat about diversity and inclusion with a couple of authors Michelle Mijung Kim and Joanna Ho and allowed us to mingle with individuals of Indian, Korean and Chinese descent coming together as a united Asian Community

Kudos Sidharth Jain !

At 18-years of age, Mumbai based 12th grader Sidharth Jain is already an inventor of patents (one granted and another pending), an ISEF grand award winner and Microsoft imagine cup 2021 winner besides being ASEI YTE 2022 finalist.

Sidharth's journey started when he developed an interest in LEGOs at age 13 – much like many other kids of that age. Little did he realize, however, that his interest would later turn into an unimaginable and rewarding career. His project also won a YTE award plaque and cash prize during ASEI's 34th National Convention.  Jain is an inspiration as he turned his passion into something meaningful that is making the world a better place. He has been accepted into many prestigious universities and he will join the University of Massuchest, Amherst in the US to pursue engineering this fall. .Aditya Guthey interviews Sidharth for Youth Corner in this accompanying article and video.
